Mahabodhi Buddha Vihara

A peaceful place in the middle of a busy city. This is a Buddhist monastery where monks practice the actions and teachings of Buddha. The place is located on a hill top and is very serene and silent. You can sit peacefully and enjoy your own company here or you can participate in the prayer sessions of the monks. A very good place to relax, alone or with friends and family.

It is Beautiful place on top of Mahendra hill. Peaceful and serene place. Open from 4 pm to 7pm. Wherein you can attend prayer followed by Meditation.

Most Venerable Acharya Buddharakkhita had wished for a Buddhist center to come up in Hyderabad. By his blessings, Maha Bodhi Society took over an existing temple and started in 2015 at Mahendra Hills in Hyderabad, to serve the cause of the Buddha Sasana. This Vihara is developed into a full-fledged Buddha Vihara with monastery & other humanitarian activities.

It's worth a visit and spending some time there. A refuge away from the hustle bustle of Hyderabad. Good place for meditation. And also has in packege a panoramic view of the old city. It barely took us 40 minutes from the Financial district.
