EDESSA, PASTORAL CENTER

It is the pastoral Center of Syromalabar Catholic diocese of Satna. It is said to be a vision of the pioneer Bishop of Satna Fiocese, Late Mar Abraham D Mattam, modeled after the Center of education of ancient Edessa. It was the cradle of Ephrem Theological Collage and St.Thomas Minor Seminary. Late Thomas Chingan, then called Brotherji, lived here long years of his life here. It was once the satna diocesan social work center was active before the new separate building built by Late Fr.Varghese Parapilly
