Indian Bank

Proper bank facility with updated facilities in the recent past. They tend to have solution to most of the issues faced by customers. They provide banking facilities for students of VIT exclusively.
However, despite having a bank adjacent to the college buildings, there is the issue of non availability of cash in the ATMs inside the campus.

Very good ambience and response is ok but the waiting is long

I'm a former student and this is a review of my time from 2010-2014. Having lived outside India in my childhood, this Indian Bank was my first true experience of banking in India, and it scarred me permanently, making me think that all banks are this horrible.
The staff are extremely rude, ignore you while chatting with each other, and snap at you if you try to get their attention. It's as though all of them absolutely hate their jobs and have decided to take it out on the students.
And it's nonsensical that when the college hosts 20000 students (during my stay) this place is big enough to accommodate only around 40 people at a time. Students waste more than half a day just standing in line to pay the fees.
I hope this bank and all its branches go out of business. Would give a negative score if I could.

Poor customer service; students are taken for granted most of the times. There is no concern for the customers' problems and the staff procrastinates for the simplest tasks, asking us to come to the branch again some other day. And no, it was not crowded at the time of my visit.

Poor service from banking side and even for serving customer. Better not to open account at this branch while joining college as it will be difficult to close it later as it won't be used anyways. Better to open account in a better bank even though the processing of refund might take time from VIT. This bank is not worth it at all. Hope 0 star was there for this review.

India Bank situated inside the VIT Campus. You can open the student account here. Minimum balance to be maintained is Rs.500. You will get the ATM card as well. For getting a cheque book Rs.1000 extra which is your choice if you need.

Very supportive and Excellent Staff.

Once the student is passing out of the college they can close the account if they so desire.

There is also a ATM next to the bank

Poor service..
The staff keeps on taking multiple tea and snacks breaks during working hours..
And poor service to customers..
If you come here for opening an FD it will take around 1+ hours
