Punjab National Bank

Went to the bank to close an account. The service is not customer friendly. Had to stand in queue in front of nearly all counters.took nearly 2 hours to get the job done. The condition of the branch was derelict and there was no hygiene. The protocols were lengthy and some made no sense. For example I was asked for my I'D card which I had surrendered years ago when I left that employment, which is a standard operating procedure. This is after I provided PAN and ADHAR cards.
The staff was friendly and helpful. But the bank procedures are out of date.
