Union Bank of India Shyamali Colony Branch

The branch is good. The staff is cooperative and responsive. Once I withdrew 4000 Rs from the ATM of this branch. One note of 2000 was torn from the middle and it was six o clock of the evening and the branch was closed. The next day I took the mutilated currency note directly to the branch when it opened and approached the cashier and narrated my woe. He just took my note and exchanged it with a new 2k note. I learnt a lesson to never withdraw money from that ATM, at least not at the time when bank is closed.

Definitely deserves a 5 star but giving it a two just because of the deputy branch manager of this branch. All employees including the peon are helpful and generous but this guy makes this branch a no go.

The internet site of Union Bank is horrible. Pl improve them and make it more user friendly and less complicated

You will not get any help if you have any small problem like i was having a small problem to replace of my lost atm card the staff was rude and they were helpless specially the lady sitting at the corner for any bank enquiry.

Located on 1st floor at peaceful location, lots of space for parking, average facilities available.

This branch is a disgrace to the name of the Union. Situated in one of the poshest locality of Ranchi with management institutes and renowned schools and colleges nearby this branch is one of the busiest, However the kind of service it delivers is of the lowest standards, staff is cooperative but the infrastructure is pathetic! The link to this branch is often down and there's no IT guy to fix it, the manager can be seen switching the cables on the router himself and try to fix things. What I didn't understood is how come if this is a regular issue it is not been escalated and dealt with. Either it shows the incompetence of the lead or the lathargic attitude of the staff to fix an issue which causes problems to their customers. Either ways I found noone who owns the issue customers are facing neither any proactive approach to make the life easier for the elderly or the needy who visit the branch with small expectations to operate their accounts.

Hope there's still someone in the Union who reads this and tries to fix the ordeal which the branch staff are unable to address.
