Not Giving Proper service to small account Holder.

We had processed our car loan from hdfc bank. We choose hdfc bank since we had our salary account in hdfc.
This review is for car loan department.
We were provided incorrect information by sales executive. We were told to take insurance on car loan otherwise our interest rate will increase. Please note this is about insurance on the loan and not about car insurance.

This information was told to us just an evening prior to our car delivery date. So we were left with no choice. We cannot go to other bank and process everything again in such short time.
All these information should be provided before collecting document so incase if customer doesn't agree, he can process loan through other bank.

We somehow managed to get right information and then when we called sales executive mentioning it is not compulsory and I don't see any such thing mentioned in hdfc website, he tried to cheat us with one more lie mentioning that bank provides loan on certain condition and if you don't want insurance, your interest rate will change, who told you that it is not compulsory blah blah...

Later we asked him to send screenshot of this. When we went through document, it was clearly mentioned that insurance on loan is optional and interest rate will remain unchanged even if we don't buy insurance. Insurance (there were 4 different insurance options which was never told to us or explained) is required only if we want foreclosure charges to be zero.

Insurance amount was 8000 rs. We somehow managed to save ourselves from this cheating and save 8000 rs.

Lately we strictly told him we don't want insurance and process our loan without insurance. After that service provided to us also changed. Earlier all documents, signatures were collected from our home and when we denied for insurance, we were told to come to bank to sign few documents. We had to go to bank on short notice to sign documents. There were Dual standard in the service provided by bank executive.

Writing this review so others can save themselves from this cheat.

Insurance on car loan is not compulsory nor interest rate will change if you don't opt for it. Incase executive says that it is compulsory, ask him to show you in written. Don't believe on his words and there will be no proof that he had told such thing to customer. He will never provide any such thing in written or through email.
Please don't read only the points that he shows you but read the whole page. Executive will only show you part of the document but take your time and read complete page. It is clearly mentioned that interest will remain unchanged.

I wish i could give minus stars to this bank. Dated 23.04.22, current manager is beyond pathetic to even listen to peoples problem. My dad died 8 days ago and i was concerned if there's any loan amount left to be paid so i visited bank and i met the main manager he was more in hurry to freeze account once he heard that my dad died. After freezing account he said to bring death certificate then they can talk more with me. What a pathetic bank it is. My dad had account with them since 2007 and this is how they behave with clients. I believe it is true that HDFC bank managers dont really care about you if you have small accounts. They just lick big balance accounts especially the manager. Ill post name of the manager soon but so you know "STAY AWAY FROM THIS BANK"
I know i am gonna recieve a lame reply that they are "sorry about it and want me to contact" but i wont, coz i dont wanna waste more time with you guys.
