Can you imagine that happening on any other architectural site?Ever seen anyone stopping people from taking photographs of Qutub Minar?People visit these kind of places especially TO TAKE PHOTOGRAPHS.You deny them that you sure as hell end up with a bad review.Who can actually expect this to happen?NO PHOTOGRAPHS,this is a TOURIST SPOT.It will take a mystic to see that one coming.
Project incharge assured me that he will discuss this issue in the forthcoming board meeting. But who came up with that rule in the first place?'Someone might bring a high end camera for non-commercial purposes here'-the thought never crossed the minds of well educated and experienced government officials handling tourism for the nation's capital. How can someone not consider that while making the rules? But in case they did ,they failed to mention which cameras are allowed and are considered high end.Coolpix is permitted? Can't tell,no one
can.
They said this is a first time such an issue has been raised. So I guess it would not be wrong to infer that people don't visit this place that much. The board should take the super-obvious decision here and do that ASAP.(to avoid further embarrassment of course)
Great place to visit though,Well maintained and clean. But its just the camera thing that makes this place one of a kind.Truly unique. And stupid
