Cakes

i have had world's worst cake here. bought 2 pineapple and 2 black forest cake from here 50/- each. the cakes were like dhokla soaked in water. "faltu" cake. i have wasted 200/-. that is very hard to earn. third class taste..

I bought a cake for my mother's b'day from this outlet. I bought a Double Truffle Cake (1 lb).
The cake was very tasty and it had a traditional touch to it. The new gen bakeries specialize in loading cream and make the cake layering wafer thin. They spend more time on the fondant designs.
I was pleasantly surprised to see a proper cake. While it did have chocolate, the layer was quite nice and chunky, more cake than the additives. The butterscotch bits spread generously it good crunchiness. On the whole we all loved it.

It is a calm, quaint place having a personal touch and feeling. There is nothing to say about the quality. In Cakes it is always good. I tried the Chicken grilled sandwitch and choco block,both of which I found delectable. Only thing is that,it would be great if they set some more chairs for sitting.

Though the cakes were tasty as usual and exact as per designs given, the one spoiler leaves me no other choice. As you can see in picture provided despite making it clear again and again, birthday year should read '2' (not '1'), this was what was provided. This was the only one among the three cakes that I couldn't check as they packed before I could see and this was the case. Sorry to say but these things turn out to be HUGE spoilers! We waste all our energy and efforts telling them what we want and in rush for events like this where we have hell of other things to manage these are minute things that spoil few moments, or make us regret forever!

This incident took place on 9th May mother's day. Due to covid restrictions I had called up the cakes store in Salt Lake and order a cake with mother's day msg on it. I had asked them that since it's covid times and the government has restricted all restaurants/bakeries for take away only so can they deliver it in the car.....to which they complied......now 5 min before reaching I called them again and told them to get the cake ready to which they said it's ready...... just when I reach the store it started to rain and I was parked right outside their store but they refused to come out and deliver in the car because of the rains and asked me to stand outside their store.....I went in the rain waiting outside their store to pick up my pre placed order but they just didn't respond......they didn't take my calls even though I was standing right outside their store..... And when finally one of the staff came out just to tell me that I have to order......I told them that I had already ordered and I was there to pick up but they had not prepared the order....... when I told them that this is not a way to deal with customers they said that I am no vip and big VIPs with Lal battis come to their store......the arrogance and attitude of the store staff was appalling.......if this is the attitude towards customers who in this pandemic and rain and troubled times come to your store.....then I am sorry to say but you don't value your customers who have stuck by you since ages.......

I just hope the management looks into this and takes note of such rude, arrogant, unprofessional and ungrateful staff......

Awful experience with this saltlake cakes shop.I had ordered designed cake for my daughter's birthday.on the day of delivery when we reached the shop...the staff just dropped the cake on the floor ..The manager behavior was very rude and they were not even sorry for that ...I will never recommend anyone to buy from this shop ...

Irresponsible careless staff, dont know how to securely deliver the cake... Manager's behaviour is rough, unpleasant. My review is Big 0 out of 5.
