Average airport for a city of this size.
The place looked clean though. As soon as you get off the plane, there is a 30 sec bus ride and you're in the luggage area. Two belts. But surprisingly, they do not encourage trolleys it seems. All the trolleys were locked and tied so that no one can take them. Check my photo ot the trolleys,tied with a rope.
The place outside is also cramped and further encroached by cars/taxis parked on both sides.

I do appreciate that we have an airport. But it's high time to upgrade and beautify it. Forget about upgrading to an international Airport, first just upgrade the facilities, maintain it properly. Why think about the international airport when we can't even maintain the Domestic Airport.

A very basic airport and recently activated under the new UDAN scheme but it really acts like a saviour especially for people of the Northeast.

It's a busy place which is slowly on verge to becoming an important landmark but as much as visitor's facilitating infrastructure are added on the outer aspect, passenger service still has to improvise to some extent and also hygiene has to be taken care of. Water has to be provisionally be arranged for washrooms meanwhile ensuring the best accessibility.
Overall, year by year there have been major changes which has made it a welcoming experience :)

Small airport. Doesn't have shuttle service from runway to arrival door. But being having an airway service to nagaland is great. Staffs are friendly.

Dimapur Airport is the only airport of Nagaland. Although a small one, the airport is nice. Staff are friendly. I wish they have more food counters in future. The waiting area is ok. The main attraction is the traditional attire corner of Nagaland for photo shoot. Try it when you are in Dimapur Airport.
