It will be a very comfy airport once they finished the reconstruction. I love the staffs warm welcoming and the environment around; greenery at it's best.

Need to work on the Facilities

Still renovation is going on.. the thing is other than local people ... outsiders have to 350 per head to stay in the Mizoram.This is bit awkward rule of Mizoram government.

Since this airport is new ,there is a chance to improve on public address system and wash rooms clinliness of checked in waiting area. Also there should be a provision for baggage trollies outside the airport to carry our baggage inside when we reach airport entrance. It is not available .

As of today (9th February 2023) the airport is still undergoing a major upgrade. Not much facilities inside the airport campus. There are several restaurants just outside the airport campus. There are also private parking lots outside the campus where you can park your car for a fixed daily rate. The airport campus entry fee for a vehicle is Rs.30, which may not be worth it if you don't have much luggage coz the airport is only about 100ft away from the campus entrance gate. After check-in, the waiting hall has traditional and cultural shop, a snacks shop which serves tea and coffee from a coffee machine. There is a dedicated smoking room in the security waiting area. There are no mobile charging ports, only normal electric ports are a available. For arrivals, there are cabs you can book from inside the airport. Just outside the airport also there are lots of taxis for hire.

It is undergoing renovation. Should open up as a brand new airport. Good airport in its present state.
