The airport is small but located in a beautiful place. The check-in is fast. It is 30 km from aizawl city but it takes 1 hr 30 min to reach. It will cost you Rs 1600 in taxi. Food and beverages are available inside airport after you do security check-in.

Lengpui Airport is situated at a beautiful town of Aizawl in Mizoram one of the north east state of India. it is surrounded by breathtaking scenario of clouds rolling over the hills. Though the airport is small, its fascinating beauty, discipline and simplicity of people here makes it one of the airport with amazing experience.

It seems that the airport is getting renovated. It is on hill top & the scenic beauty is elusive. Infrastructure and facilities are limited. Two outlets were found in the departure hall. Hope it complete the renovation work sooner.

Very unprofessional, impolite and this airport allows passengers into checkin just before 1 hour of depart, so better not reaching so early. They don’t even have a proper waiting hall to accommodate passengers flying on very few planes here. Unbelievable attaching the dirty waiting hall of this airport

Lengpui Airport is a domestic airport in Lengpui, serving Aizawl, the capital of Mizoram, India. The airport is connected by flights to Kolkata, Guwahati and Imphal, and is located at a distance of 32 km from Aizawl. Lengpui Airport is the first large airport in the country to be built by the Government of Mizoram. The airport was constructed at a cost of ₹ 979 crore, and was completed in a record time of two years and two months. The construction work started in December 1995 and completed in February 1998. The 2,500-metre runway of the Lengpui airport is unique in that it has many hilly streams running underneath. The airport is one among the three airports in India that has a table top runway (others being Kozhikode and Mangalore) which creates an optical illusion that requires a very precise approach from the pilot. More development is required which shall eventually be made I guess

Small airport with basic facility and supporting staff. Overall good experience. Construction work is going to develop this airport. Right now only one small snacks shop and one souvenir shop is there.

The cutest Airport wannabe... Staff and security working there are nice and polite. They are also very understanding in the way they carryout the rules and regulations. This reflects the fact that Mizos are very nice people. The toilets are also well cleaned although they need to be upgraded

A small but beautiful airport serving as the gateway for the beautiful state of Mizoram. It takes approx. 1 hr 20 min to reach from Aizawl city. Having direct flights to Kolkata, Guwahati, Agartala. Construction work in progress, so we can expect better facilities in future. Right now a souvenir shop and a eatery joint is available in the waiting area. Security needs to be more strict.
