New airport has been overhauled completely. It's much more pleasant to travel via this airport than before. There are new shops, more seating, a bar, smoking room. A much better experience. Being an army airport, there are more number of security checks. Would advise to arrive early to depart at time.

Airport is good and security check is tighten enough since before entering airport there is defence checking is also there. Few days earlier only Paahun lounge opened which accepts KOTAK IDFC ICICI cards only. No other cards is acceptable as of now so you need to pay if you availing services just like of restaurant services.
As a whole Ambience is good, you can find many shops.

A small military airport , with three docking terminals , roughly 14-15 flights operate from this airport. Clean , not much crowded. Security checkin is done thrice so reach atleast 2 hour before departure.

Jammu Tawi airport is pretty small but maintained decently. Nothing extraordinary in terms of customer service. The last flight to the airport is around 7pm post which the airport is pretty much shut. Also advisable to reach early if you are travelling from this airport as it's small and the check in process takes time right from the time you enter the airport compound.

Very shabby entry to the airport , may be because it is a military airport. Small airport less crowded . Lounge is also very small. Gives Access to Axis , ICICI, Kotak Mahindra, DhanLaxmi, IDFC First Bank Cards. Last minute shopping can be done at Kashmir Handicraft shop and mithai from Prem Sweets Kud wale is a must take home.

Jammu airport has been renovated with great dining and shopping outlets.
Many nice shops are now open where you can eat and shop. The eating place has a variety of options to choose from and they make fresh tea and coffee.
Juices are also available.
There are few more shops from where you can buy traditional Kashmiri dresses, showpieces, bags, holy books etc.
The washroom area is all neat and tidy . Also about security, it's well guarded and safe.
Overall gives a really nice experience.

Very well maintained, the security staff is supportive and helpful. The only drawback is the restaurant inside the airport. The prices are exorbitantly high and the quality of food is extremely poor.
