It's a small air field and generally used by vip small flights. Approach control is done by IGI delhi controllers and aerodrome control is with safdarjung airport. Over all location is quite good and is almost in the heart of the city.

Used extensively in WWII, what used to be known as Willingdon Airfield started operations in 1929 during the British Raj. It is now called Safdarjung Aiport, and has been officially closed since 2002. It remained the city's main airport until 1962, when operations shifted to Palam Airport completely by the late 1960s, as it could not support the new bigger aircraft such as jet aircraft.

Our room main door screen was not there. For breakfast only bread & eggs or paratha is available. No other choice is there.

Went there for attending a wedding function at Airport Authority of India Officers Institute. It's quite a large space and can host two functions at a time. The food was good and service was also nice. The venue being stand alone type one can party late into night. The parking space is huge.
