Dear Sir,
I approached above ATM at around 11:34 AM on 2nd September 2020 to withdraw Rs. 10, 000/- against my Debit Card issued by United Bank of India . As against my request for Rs.10000.0, only Rs.9500.0 was disbursed from the machine. I lost Rs, 500.0 for no fault of mine.
As the machine was unmanned and and no security guard was present, I could not lodge any complaint officially. Later I made a written complaint to the main Branch of Axis Bank, Chinsurah for investigation and refund of my lost money, there was no satisfactory reply.
The Bank receipt from United Bank of India shows that the entire sum of Rs. 10000.0 has been debited from my Account.
My loss of Rs. 500.0 was small but irrespective of amount of money lost, non dispensation of correct number/amount of currency notes is a breach and defeciency of service by the owners of the ATM, i.e. Axis Bank. The issue was further compounded by the the lackadisical approach of said Bank authorities to resolve the issue, when they sent a terse message "Contact UBI and they will initiate the enquiry abd advise you"
You are requested to take necessary steps to restore my loss as also ensure the safety and security of all your ATMS.
You may also put up Notices in ATM booths to enable customers to contact AXIS Bank officials PROMPTLY in case of any lacuna in service in any ATM..
