This is a wonderful 14th century architecture of the then Muslim ruler of Bengal, Sikander Shah. This reflects an almost forgotten history and architectural beauty of Bengal. Although located very near to the National Highway no 34, this is a hardly visited place. It is a must-visit site maintained by the Archeological survey of India and a protected monument as well.

Adina Mosque : A Great Historical Place in Malda District of West Bengal.
It was built by Sikandar Shah in 1378.

It takes almost 20/25 Minutes in Auto to Reach Adina Mosque from Gajol City of Malda.
You can enter there in Free of Cost and It Closes at 5PM.

Inside the Mosque there are Magnificent Sculptures, Designs and Well Maintained Garden which are too much Eye Catching.

It's a good experience to spend some quality time at Adina Mosque. The campus is huge. It will provide true historical landmark visiting feelings. This place is protected and well maintained. Nearby, you can also visit Adina Eco Tourism Park, just beside that.

This place closes sharp at 6PM. So, visit accordingly.

It's a good historical place to visit. Really liked the place. The place is well maintained. But there is no guarding staff inside the place. The place is less crowded. You can also find car parking nearby and you have to pay only Rs.20 for this purpose. To visit this place you need not spend any money on tickets. 👍big thumbs up. Recommended.

So many Hindu sculptures curved in the rocks in the lower portion of this historic place. You will find ganesh, Shiva lingam, apsaras, kirtimukha, swastika, Shiva, Lotus, bells and a lots of hindu curving in the lower part made by rocks.
But the upper part made by terracotta bricks looks like Islamic architecture.
ASI needs to do a excavation here ..... Needs to carbon date of the bricks and the rocks ... Then we can unveil the truth.

The Adina Mosque is a former mosque in Maldah, West bengal. It was the largest such structure in the Indian subcontinent and was built during the Bengal sultanate as a royal mosque by sikandar Shah who was buried inside. The mosque is situated in Pandua, a former royal capital.

Great place to visit with family, friends, couples etcetera. A place well maintained and you will find it a very peaceful place.
Will recommend a must visit if you want to travel and visit some tourist spots in Maldah.
