A weekend getaway place in Patna. Good place for kids as they enjoy. Their are ample of space. But only thing is animals are not well feeded. It feels like they are not getting proper food and service. Tiger and lion were looking very weak and thin. The authority should take care of it more properly. Infrastructure has improved a lot compared to my last visit was long years back

Sanjay Gandhi Botanical and Zoological Garden is located on bailey road, Patna. The park is Patna's most frequented picnic spot and has 70 Animals, 35 species of fish and 5 species of snakes. It's a good place to visit with your friends and family. The only problem which is still there is that it doesn't have nearby stalls apart from the centre one which is located near the lake and they don't sell mineral or packaged water only water cooler is available. Rest everything is up to the standards of the zoological park and lastly, it has a boating lake.

I last visited this place on children's day. And many times before. This is a best place to hangout with friends and family. Atmosphere of this place is awesome. You can see variety of animals there. I showed white tiger, different varieties of parrot , love birds etc. There's also a food court available where you can eat various food items in very affordable prices. They also provide free wifi . Place is very beautiful to click good pictures if you are looking for nice background! I enjoyed so much with my family 🥰

In a midst of traffic honks this place can really cherish the very calm within one's heart ❤️. Chirps of birds and chatters of monkeys is a amazing escape from the loud vehicular noise. 150 acres of jungle connecting human with wildlife. There is lake in the center. Boating can be really comforting.
Best time to visit: Morning 5-9 AM.

The zoo has been maintained very well. The greenary is awesome.Boating is also there to experience.

It has small e-rickshaws catering to the tourists. If one wants to take a look around on foot, it may take 4-5 hours in a relaxed mode.

Due to high temperature maximum animals are sleeping and relaxing. So the morning shift is good for a visit now a days.Though I wish the animals were better fed. Lion and Tiger are dull and weak. The animals

seem lonely to me.

I like the food provided by cafeteria of zoo and cleanliness.

Overall a good place to enjoy with your family and friends.

Love the place, the vibe, location, greenery, eating options(a bit expensive inside the zoo). However the animals need more care, not all of them are in best condition.
Still a nice place for picnic, family outing or even a date with your partner!
You can even try a solo visit, trust me it's amazing.
Don't miss the Aquarium (closes 5:30PM) (need to pay extra 10rs), it is near Gate No. 2.
You can take your bag inside with you, there's no checking generally of the items, so you can take tripod, camera and other stuff if you wish and capture some nice photos.
Tip: Don't miss the Royal Bengal Tiger 🐅

Infrastructure has improved a lot compared to my last visit from long years back.
I suggest the Bihar Government to import more animals from different States.
