Great place to hangout with your friends. Pocket friendly prices. Yummy food with a lot of variety of snacks. The ambience is also very nice with good quality live music. Lots of DJ's keep coming here to play every week.

If places were clothes, Delhi could be the Hugo Boss clad big bro and Gurgaon, the sometimes Diesel/sometimes Levi clad
"new in business but arrived nonetheless" younger brother ...

So for all the swanky, glitzy, ritzy pubs and restaurants of Delhi, Gurgaon has the one of a kind Cyber Hub and Horizon Center... both exuding remarkable vim and verve...

... but then some days you want none of that !!!

Some days one yearns to feel at home..
... not necessarily AT home 😀

So that's where steps in a stellar concept of BYOB's/Ahatas, regaling the crowds of Gurgaon for ever so long now.. my first visit to one was in 2013 I think!!!

So what's an Ahata really ?

... on the up and up it's a cost effective option where you can enjoy a drink with your friends minus the fare of a flashy pub...
... and still enjoy a happy evening.

Amidst the so many options that line the streets of Gurgaon,
#TheFriendsRepublic, the one I am talking about is a "me too" too..?

Yes!!

Bring your own Bottle ..?
Yes !!

Ahata..?
Yes !!!

So what makes this a standout when my choices abound... all within 5 kms of where I live..

This one to me is not just any other BYOB...

.. to me it's a "Be Your Own Boss" kinda place...

The place has an indoor/outdoor seating plus a covered terrace seating as well....

I witnessed the best fun crowd this side of town..
on a Wednesday evening...
in the heart of the week,
.. the place had people stepping in droves... the place was packed to the gills !!!

I was also kinda relieved to see that there was a good number of women, some in all women groups too, having a ball..!!

It felt safe, very safe.

And yes they play very nice music.. it was a Sufi night yesterday and it was difficult not to pay attention to what the inhouse DJ was dishing out...

Food is moderately priced and delicious.. actually no..
I think their food is better than a lot of other places...
Of the three things that we ordered, the Chilli Chicken and the Mutton Barra were high on flavours and spice... loved both equally !!

.. but the fish fingers could have been better.. the only thing I didn't enjoy yday ..

At a cover charge of 500/- per head, a meal for two cost us 1415/-

The drinks shop next to it has one of the better collection of premium alcohol ..and there is a cute Paan King outside as well!!

The service staff is friendly but could work on being a bit more efficient while presenting the bill .. 😀

The place, high on activity, is noticeable from the main road itself. Kudos to Pankaj Bhatia/Ankush Kapahi/Neeraj Ruhil for they are doing a mighty good job with this one..

You cannot miss #TFR on Golf Course Extension Road.. btw they have another one close to Subhash Chowk I am told... as buzzing as this one..

It's time to celebrate Gurgaon...
... grab a much earned drink and a pocket easy bite and savour our evenings with like minded people..
... because these are places which are best enjoyed in groups!!

Worst food ever tried. Dal ordered look liked as if we ordered masala oats. Pasta was so bad that, you can never have this pathetic item ever. Drinks were so bad you have to asked to get it replaced again and again.

Really cool ambience, and the adjoining liquor shop usually has good stock. Among the rare places where you can find bottles like Jack Daniels Honey relatively easily.

The food is really good, I usually order their roasted chicken. Menu is reasonably priced, and the quantity is ample too.

It is surprisingly large after entering, and has a good seating capacity. Also safe for women, from what I could tell, so you can bring the entire gang over too. They have a projector in place for matches and the sort, and usually a DJ playing too in case you want to dance.

A decent place for evening outs. The place is open air so make sure you go on a good weather day or in winters. The view of high-rise will keep inspiring you. The food is good to go but slightly highly priced but the prompt service and ambience covers it up. It's right in the middle to Phase 5, opposite paras hospital next to GTown warehouse so you can buy your booze and take it in.

They charge Rs500 as cover charger.

A must try on a busy day.
