Worth a visit...... Nicely maintained place. Only downside is they collect fifty rupees for parking....!

A unique and historical dharmic place in Chitradurga. The centre of the Murugharajendra institutions is this matha where the head pontiff, Sri Murugharajendra Swamiji stays. The layout and organization of the matha itself is unique. Unlike most other mathas, this matha has not limited itself only to religious aspects but also has included several aspects from current world. The matha gives away the 'Basava Puraskara' yearly to achievers from various fields. The photos of all the recipients are displayed here. The shiva temple is also unique in its architecture and style. A 'dasoha' bhavana behind the main matha serves food to the devotees daily.

Everyone has to come here. Especially small children so they can know what real human evolution is. We enjoyed it a lot by watching everything especially Karnataka's rich culture in @12th century.
